Guest travelling by road and would like to visit Fairy Meadows, the following options are recommended for you.

When you reach Raikote, you can stay the night at Shangrila Raikote Inn, where you can rest for the next days early morning trek. After a hearty breakfast, a 4x4 jeep safari will be arranged for you, which will take you to Fairy point 1 hour drive. Since it is very hot in summers, we recommend you should carry Mineral water and Lunch Boxes till you reach the top.

You will trek uphill through pine forests or rent a horse, which is about 3 hours walk to Fairy Meadows, a world famous tourist attraction at 3200 m (10,200 feet) where you can take a breath taking view of Nanga Parbat. The early next morning, trek to Beyal Camp which is a one hour fifty minute walk, through the green pine tree forest nearing Nanga Parbat. If you are a real adventurer and would like to challenge your limits, then visit Base Camp 1 (4 hours) walk, where you will find the memorials of famous western climbers. Herman Bhul an Austrian was the First man to climb Nanga Parbat in a 41 hours dual without oxygen.


  1. Reservations can be made for Fairy Meadow Hotels/ Camping at our Reception.
  2. Keep your motor vehicle safe by parking in our garage and keep your access baggage at our storage facility.
  3. Please keep the environment clean at all times en-route and around Fairy Meadows.
  4. Due to strong ultra violet rays, it is recommended to wear a hat, sunglasses and sun block cream. Due to uphill trekking, a walking stick and a good pair of climbing shoes/joggers are recommended. In case of cold weather a sweater and jacket may come handy. Warm clothes are a must, as the weather could change at any time.
  5. To avoid de-hydration and water borne diseases, mineral water is highly recommended. Try to avoid spring water as it is hard with minerals and may upset your tummy.
  6. Due to the long trek, proper food intake is important. Also carry sweets/ toffees/chocolates, dry fruit for higher altitude. Clean Hygienic Food is available at Shangrila Raikote Innís Restaurant serving Pakistani and Continental dishes. A lunch box is also available for the trek to Fairy Meadows.
